My Dearest Old Boys and Girls,

I would like to thank you, dear alumni, on behalf of your juniors, for being there for them all the time and taking time off from your busy schedules to share with your juniors.

We all know this time round things have not been easy but you were there to keep the fire going. Because we had Viva La Musica III today, then there is a chance for IV. Without you,we would not have been able to keep the tradition going.

Originally, I wanted to give special mentions to some of you. Then I thought, it wouldn't be fair. All of you gave more than what you could have given. I see Tuba alumni helping with Percussion, I see trumpet Alumni spending extra time with juniors, I see some of you rushing to make afternoon practices, panting from running or walking fast and so many more selfless gestures which I cannot possibly include in this short email.

This, is the joy of teaching. To see the students I have taught grown into passionate, ,confident, matured, responsible and caring young adults.

My sincere apologies to some of you who had to weather my shelling when things did not go too smoothly. I seek your understanding on that and I thank you for your patience with me.

Somebody asked me after the concert if it was up to my standard. This is my answer: I think where music is concerned, there will always be room for improvement. But when it comes to enjoying on stage and the strong sense of camaraderie, nobody beats Bedok North Alumni.

Once again, thank you for all the hard work and I look forward to making music with you again.
